Tideswell Fell Race is an annual race held during the village’s Wakes Week at the end of June. The race has become a firm favourite in the fell racing calendar and attracts a strong field every year.
The race is organised by Tideswell Youth Club and profits from the race go to the club funds.
In 2013 the race is on Friday 28th June, usual start time – see below.

Thank you for taking part in 2012’s rather wet and windy fell race: there were 78 finishers (less than the 100 finishers in 2011) and it raised £??? for the youth club (2011 was £290).
2012’s race was on Friday 22nd June – usual route and times. This was the Friday on the eve of the start of Tideswell’s famous Wakes’ Week.

Entry is usually £4 (please bring correct change). Standard race arrangements are:arrive for 7:15pm, start at 7:45pm.

A new category of award was introduced in 2011 in addition to the other prizes: for fastest runner from Tideswell or from specified local villages.
